Our Christmas Eve...

Was spent baking cookies and the most delicious looking apple pie. We also cheated and opened all of our gifts last night. Bryce had a ton of fun playing with the boxes and his new stuffys. Oh how I love my family.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Guilty pleasure

Our guilty pleasure lately has been these super yummy yogurt covered pretzels. I bought a couple of bags to take to my final day potluck at school and they honestly didn't even last a day... But I bought some more and I'm hiding them so I hopefully forget about it.

What's your guilty pleasure?

Casey's Cupcakes

As I mentioned before, Jesse and I had some delish cupcakes recently. I just wanted to share the yumminess with you all. I got a Razzle Dazzle Raspberry and Jesse got this super orange cake. They were both amazing, but of course, mine was better :) If you're ever in the riverside area, I'd go check them out.

Oh my lentils.

The first time I had lentils, I hated them. They were mushy and just gross. I decided to give them another shot and make them myself and fell in love. They are creamy, warm and bacony. Ahhh, just delish. I wish I had a picture to show you my creation but it was rainy and ugly today, plus we ate it all up... :) Here are some yummy lentil recipes that I used as guidelines. Try them out! It's really great for this chilly weather.

Eureka!

Jesse and I had an amazing date day/night yesterday. We dropped little Bry over at his Meema's house to visit with his aunts and uncles and we went off to adventure.
We started off at Eureka Burger, I have been waiting to try this place out for a looong time. We went one night when I was still pregnant, but it was so packed that there wasn't even parking available. So if you do go, I suggest you go in the afternoon. Back to the food! I ordered a Maui Wowi. It was a turkey burger with pinapple and a soy citrus glaze and it was DELICIOUS! One of the best burgers I've ever had.

Next, we went to the movies, another thing we haven't done is awhile due to my pregnancy. We saw the new X-Men movie. I thought it was great, all the male characters were pretty easy on the eyes. I'm no X-men expert or anything, but it seems like the stories are not adding up right. There was a diamond girl in the movie, but there also we a diamond girl in X-men origins. They are supposed to be at two different era's I believe (I could be wrong) so something is not right. Mistake or not, it was a darn good movie.

After we stopped by my favorite yogurt place on the way to the new water conserving gardens. They just finished it but it was still beautiful and I wish I had some pictures to show everyone. After that, we decided to just save money and head home. I really did forget what it's like to just have the two of us at home. It was relaxing. We watched our show (Game of Thrones) then, I needed my baby back.

All in all it was a great time with the hubbs, but I always miss my babes. He is just the sweetest thing in life.
Happy Monday Everyone.

Super Saturday.

Today has been a very ordinary day in my new life. Bryce and I woke up early, we watched music videos together, Bryce went back to sleep, I snugged Jesse, then we all woke up and Grandpa Train came to visit. Now Bryce is sleeping, Jesse is practicing his photography, and I'm thinking of all the projects I want to do.

On a completely different note, I CAN NOT get over Ben & Jerry's Jimmy Fallon ice cream.

I tried it out just because I love Jimmy, but really, who eats potato chip in their ice cream? I DO! And it really is delish.

Sadly, this is terrible for my diet :(  This is my last bit of yum before I go completely good.. I promise this time. I'm going to try to stick to the diet by making meal plans for the whole week, so then I can't cheat! Should work, right? Wish me luck!
