Opening up

School is great for learning new things. I love being able to take all these different classes to see what subject I find the most interesting and hopefully I will find one that fits just perfectly for me. But I never thought I would learn so much about myself.

In my classes, I try to be as vocal as possible. I feel like when I'm more in tune with the conversations, I will learn more. That surely happened this past week when I was sharing a story with the class. My teacher told me that I don't give enough detail.

Okay this may sound lame but I seriously had an Oprah "ah-ha" moment...

I'm closed off, not just in school but in the relationship I have with the people dear to me.I try to hold everything in so no one is else has to deal with my crazy problems and let me tell you, it is no bueno. I end up feeling sad or lonely, but for what?

So I'm putting an end to this!
As a late New Years Resolution, I'm going to try to be more open with people. I'm going to let my loved ones know how I feel and I'm going to stay in touch with all of my many loves.

Here is to opening up.
Cheers!

  1. I'm almost the same way! I don't like to be a burden, so I keep all my problems and everything in so, other people don't have to worry about it
