Eyes

I came across this chart when looking up different shapes of eyes.

(+++)

Lately, I've been really interested in the many different shapes that everyone has. I really want to learn how to apply make-up to my face. Sometimes, I find when I use some of these top rated sites for tips that they do not work well for my eye shape. Honestly, it's probably because I have no idea what I'm doing. I've only seriously worn make-up about 5 times, and it was always done by someone with some skill.

Love these eyes, they are perfect just the way they are.

Do you love or wish you had a different shape of eye?
Do you have as much difficulty as me apply make-up to your shape?

  1. Of all the pictures I've seen...I think you look LOVELY without much makeup (I don't know if you're even wearing any!) But what is it you find so difficult about your own eyeshape? Personally, I just always find myself in a rut of not knowing how to do anything different besides what I normally do.

  2. Well, they are the best eyes I've seen in a long time. He's such an adorable little rug-rat.

    I don't really know too much about wearing make up but Hannah (HEIA) did a great feature a few posts back and I picked up some tips. Eye liner is my current nemesis but I am determined to become an expert at liquid liner. I think it really makes a difference to an evening look. And I want to figure out how to do the smokey eye look.

    Be sure to post a picture when you try out something new xx

  4. Hannah: My problem is everything, I have no idea what i'm doing. When I test out things from online, it seems like it never works out right.

    Sherms: I have the most trouble with liner too. I can't figure out how to use it correctly for my shape.

    Kissa: You have sexy cat eyes!

  5. Maybe you're taking it too seriously? Makeup is meant to be fun, it's not science. Just play with it and find something that YOU love! I think you should post a photo of your eyes like your baby's and then maybe we could help you figure it out?! :)

    Shermeen, maybe I'll do some more makeup tutorials...of the few things I DO know! I'm glad it was helpful for somebody! :)

  7. @Sherms and Mila: Eyeliner doesn't have to be dramatic.It is quite simple really. Really, it is just to define the eye. So just very lightly and slowly, follow the shape of YOUR eye. If your eye is round, then make sure you liner goes round with it, and not straight. It does NOT have to be applied neatly either. If you mess up and go out of line just continue applying it until it is lined with your eye, and as dark as you would like. Afterwards, take a Q tip, wet it a little, or put a little lotion on it, and then go just above the eyeliner line to make it a smooth, straight line and clean finish. Afterwards, to make it stay, take a small eyeshadow brush,dip in some black eyeshadow(if that is the color of your liner) and go over it. This will make the liner not smudge and stay longer without those nasty eyeliner marks in the crease of your eye. Never attempt to put on liner with out some Q tips. They really do make a difference. Hope this helps! :] And Mila, meeeoow.. thank you! ;] haha Okay, that was lame, haha But thanks! :D
